I'll happily pay $5 for a sticker.  Their mugs are a bit overpriced whether through the "store" or for a custom which is the next thing I'd get.

Yeah, clear would have been nice.  Vinyl with UV resist should be good.

Now for rounding up $5....

As I mentioned though, we can set the price as low as the "base" price.  The only reason to go with their suggested (or other) markup is to pay for the premium shop costs if we need to do that (ie. need more than one design for any given product).  I did a quick little bit of research and some items have quite a bit of "standard" markup while others have hardly any.

For example, there is a set of 4 stackable mugs that if you bought them yourself they'd be $40 but we could offer them at base for $32.  But the hat that I put on there sells for $15 if you make one custom yourself and the base price is $14.99.  So a whopping penny profit on the hat if sold at their own custom price and their standard markup price is $17.00... very strange.

The $5 bumper sticker's base price is $3.49.

Another reason to NOT charge a markup is the CafePress fine print!  If we can't earn more than $25 in profits in a 180 day period, then they charge a $25 administrative fee.  In that case then, you pay more for nothing and it just goes into CafePress's pockets.

I personally say we should set the prices to the base price and people can buy whatever they want and pay the least for it.  But again, that limits us to ONE design per product.

Thoughts?

I dont mind the one design... afterall, its the single logo that everyone seems to be asking for.

If it is one design, I don't understand the alien eyeball and the plain logo being available.

I like the eyeball on the hat quite a bit.
and I think I prefer the plain rectangle bumper sticker.

I have a feeling that many would be happy with whatever the final design(s) turns out to be.

I don't know about the rest of you, but a 10" x 3" decal seems BIG to me??

I'd like to see a 2" x 4" maybe............. :'(

Thoughts...................... ::)

I DO like the idea of the base price; no use paying $$$ for nothing !!   :P

I agree that the 10x3 is a bit large.  I was looking at a 7x3 that's not too obtrusive but something more like 2x6 would be about ideal: large enough to see on a window, not so large that you can't put it on the engine access cover.

2x4 is... smaller than a 3x5 card.

A 2x6 with a little border would look something like:

Wow, a lot happens in a couple days! Thanks for looking into the decals! I think 10x3 will work for my purposes, but I can see where some smaller sizes would be preferable. I'm putting my $5 together as I type...

10x3... I didn't choose the size, that's just what they called "bumper sticker".  It probably is a standard bumper sticker size.

Its one design PER item.  The two stickers are different sizes/shapes.  There are a couple more, check out the links.  I can put a design to any product you guys want, just let me know which.

I understand that YOU didn't choose the size; I was just saying it seems a little big to me??  No harm, no foul.   ;D

No worries, I understood.  :)

OK, today I got around to adjusting all the prices to the "base" price.  That is the lowest it can be through CafePress.

If you guys want to have any sort of design contest... I'm not sure if this forum can do polls or not but we could figure something out and put the winning design onto the bumper sticker.  Also, if the bumper sticker is too large I suppose we could try to portion it and figure out a design that fits 2 or 3 onto the surface?  then the customer just has to trim?  There's also a 3x5 size but I'm not sure its using the same water/uv protected material.  Same with that oval one I did actually... it may not be suitable for exterior use.
