In the final installation step, bubble wrap is mentioned to keep your control unit secure and protected from moving about. While digging around for some, I came across a "koozie", one of those soft foam canned drink insulators. Turns out that the control unit fits perfectly into one and the whole shebang subsequently fits securely into the nook in the body of the car.

;D

Funny, but as I was wondering where I was going to get some bubble wrap, I suddenly remembered that my CC unit came with bubble wrap in the box, so I just used that to wrap the unit in.  I guess I thought they included it as one of the parts...  (You're telling me they didn't?....LOL)

Yes, that was considerate of them. And, since it comes in such a lovely shade of purple it was also considerate engineering to install it out of sight!  ;)

Yep, didn't recall it at the time, but the package does have bubble wrap in it. Just wanted to mention how handy & tidy of a solution I found the koozie to be.

Arch,
I really like your 'solution', since I have kind of been worrying that the box might either 'overheat' from being enclosed on all sides, or that with the bouncing of the car, it  will somehow end up slipping free, since the bubble wrap does tend to be kind of 'slippery'.  I vowed that I will check on it often and if I find my fears are founded, I will immediately go to your 'solution'.  Thanks for letting us "all" in on it.

Heat isn't an issue.
