I really had a hard time with installation.  I used some heavy duty staples that I had at home.  After an hour of trying, I still had not removed any pins.  I went to office supply stores with the hope of finding the same brand that is pictured in the instructions.  I couldn't find that brand, so I picked another brand at random.  The "Swingline" brand worked perfectly.  They are just a little different than the brand I had originally tried.  I easily finished the install.  I'm very happy with the cruise control.

If proper staple shape is so important, the maker should provide a few staples with the product.  In the mean time, I recommend the Swingline brand.  They're widely available in the US.

I tried to post this in the Product Install section, but couldn't see where to contact the maker and become a registered user.

Hello Dwight.  There is a pinned topic in every forum in the Customers section entitled "Registered Customers" that explains the process and gives a link to make the request.  Don't worry about it, I manually added you and I've moved this to the correct section.

Thank you for your feedback.  A lot of people have suggested we include staples because there is confusion on the correct type and brand.  A lot of people are mistaking "heavy duty" to mean staple gun staples used for construction or pinning rather than actual "Heavy Duty" staples that are simply larger regular staples.  The initial 200 units that were sent out did not have the staples included but future batches will.
