YAY!!!  :D

Even though the V2 routine was not as smooth as the V1, I find the ease of swapping maps on the fly far outweighs the difference in feel.

With some of the tweaks I had made to the values, I found a more comfortable middle ground.  I had actually become so used to the BETA unit, that when I switched back to the V1 it felt wrong... but I couldn't put my finger on why.

I am glad to see version 2 up here, with the programmers out there it would be interesting to hear what others think of the V2.  I believe there were only 3 of the BETA units out there... but then, we were just 3. perhaps us BETA testers were too critical... I think we were just trying to be thorough...

I have missed the ability to quickly change to the ECONO map (60000E) in a traffic jam.  And not to mention the BOOH when I feel like showing off (60000F).

Thank you for posting the V2 as well as the original v1.2!

As Eric kindly pointed out, for those programming their cruise controls with the new 1.30.x files... if they want to revert back to the default or wish to experiment with the V2 they had no way of doing that because we didn't have the files up here.  So I'm posting them here.  To be clear, V1.20 is the firmware that comes on every unit shipped out, is highly regarded and thoroughly tested.  V2 has been (at least temporarily) abandoned and includes all the maps built in and the ability to select between them on the fly with a ScanGauge... but isn't as smooth in the actual cruise control functionality (hense why it was turfed).  But it should be available or people to experiement as they see fit.

WOW, I buy this product over a year ago, install it and it works perfectly without one hitch! And now I come back to post that it has been working so well for so long and I find out I can now upgrade my firmware and get the boost feature that some other company boasts about (I won't mention their name) with their product! What a nice surprise on my overdue return to the forum. Only one thing I could of done after reading and taking in all this info. I ordered my programmer! I can't wait to get it and start flashing my unit.

Awesome work on your awesome product!

I should try driving by my over-limit radio station up in the hills nearby (power levels grandfathered in from around wartime, one of the strongest FM transmitters out there).

As to your troubles at that intersection, the WFME radio station only puts out 37 kW but the WFME-TV transmitter is 200kW.  Both transmitters appear to be at that intersection so it could be either one causing the problem.

Ah, the joys of electronics   :)

The location is the intersection of Mt. Pleasant Avenue and Prospect Avenue in West Orange, NJ. The weirdness happens when you approach from the east, going uphill on Prospect. It does not happen on the westbound side of Prospect or on the southbound side of Mt. Pleasant. I can't comment on the northbound side of Mt. Pleasant because the car is already dead by the time I've gotten there (the one time the light was green and I was able to coast around the corner and pull off the road.)

Hi Danny,

That's not good, is it?  Let me be sure I'm clear so I can test this:  You're saying that while you're driving with switch 2 flipped, and you press the button, nothing happens and if you repeatedly press it you get the dash light?  I'm assuming the following:  you are driving above 15mph; your gas pedal still works during all this (or at least up until the flashing lights).  Is that correct?  Or does the gas pedal cut out, even for a second?

Until this is resolved, I have to recommend to everyone not to use switch #2.  It sounds like an endless loop is being triggered and the cruise is forced to reset itself.  If this is the case, its obviously a programming error on our part.  I'll pour through the logs and try to see how that could have slipped past testing. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Art.

Art,
I installed the new software today. Everything works fantastically save for one thing: If I turn OFF the dip switch which is supposed to enable speed memory (switch #2), the cruise control becomes disabled. After doing this pushing the button on the turn-stalk means nothing happens. If I continue to do this several times The warning triangle on the center of my speedometer begins to flash. Luckily switching off the ignition and turning it back on resets the flasher. Switches #1 and #2 function as advertised.
Thanks ever so much!
Danny

Could you give me the exact intersection (streets, city, state) where this happens?
